The Thrive Approach is an intervention that has it’s basis in neuroscience, attachment and child development in order to help support the child’s overall social and emotional development.
A number of stages are identified and children work through these using play based and creative activities to support them along this journey. Gaps in knowledge and skills are addressed during this process.
Thrive is also an online tool, accessible at Thrive-Online which a core component of this intervention. This is used to assess social and emotional development and identify any areas that need addressing through the thrive curriculum.
The theoretical underpinning of Thrive is highly documented but at this stage the impact of the interventions has not been fully researched. A recent piece was released and can be found here: http://orca.cf.ac.uk/126269/
