SEMH books are available from a range of different sources and it can often be a challenge to decide which ones to purchase with very limited budgets. Some SEMH resources are for increasing staff knowledge, some to facilitate group work, some to lend to pupils and others to support 1:1 work with a child.
There are also a range of Therapeutic Stories from Margot Sunderland which provide an opportunity to explore difficult topics through a metaphor with a child.

Train the trainer

For ideas on holding supportive conversations with young children, Conversations that Matter is an excellent resource.
If you are looking to increase the self esteem of a particular student, this resource might be helpful. It has a range of photocopiable resources to be used again and again with different groups / individuals.
By far the most popular resource on this website is this – the CBT Toolbox for Children.
